How to Choose a CBD Oil

Purchasing our CBD oils makes it easy to support total-body wellness, but each of our full spectrum CBD oil for sale contains varying strengths of CBD. Which of our oil potencies should you choose? And how do you determine your individual dosage?

Individual CBD dosage depends on a few factors, including weight, tolerance, body chemistry, and more. To accurately determine your individual dosage, begin by noting your oil’s CBD potency per ml (found on the bottle). Next, calculate the potency of your chosen CBD oil per drop using this formula:

[CBD potency per ml / 30 drops = mg/drop]

Now you can use the following formula to calculate your correct individual dosage. You’ll need to know your target dose of CBD, which can be calculated based on weight using our in-depth CBD dosage guide:

[Target dose of CBD / potency of CBD oil per drop = Number of drops]

Voila! You’re ready to buy the appropriate full spectrum CBD oil and deliver your ideal individual dose for the best results. If you’re looking for more targeted support for specific areas of the body, post-workout recovery, or soothing specific discomfort, our CBD creams make targeted application easy. Choose to apply in specific areas, and apply as much or as little as needed.

How Does CBD Work?

Our CBD oils work with your body’s endocannabinoid system, producing their effects by binding to your brain’s cannabinoid receptors. When you purchase our full spectrum CBD oil for sale, you’re choosing premium quality CBD for the ultimate in the soundness of body and mind.

FAQs

How Much CBD Oil Is in Each Serving?

It depends. When you buy full spectrum CBD oil at Sound CBD, you can choose between three concentrations: 1,000 mg, 2,000 mg, and 3,000 mg. Our 1,000 mg formula has about 33 mg per serving (or per milliliter). Our 2,000 mg formula has about 67 mg per serving. Our 3,000 mg formula has 100 mg per serving.

Why Use Peppermint in CBD Oil?

Peppermint offers naturally soothing, muscle-relaxing properties when applied topically. It can enhance CBD by providing localized support to aching muscles and joints. It also provides a satisfying cooling sensation and an irresistible flavor. That’s why it’s included in all our full spectrum CBD oils for sale.

Which CBD Concentration Is Best?

When you’re choosing CBD oil online, the optimal concentration will depend on your needs. If you’re new to CBD or just seeking daily balance, try the 1,000 mg variety. If you’re dealing with moderate to severe discomfort, or if the 1,000 mg didn’t yield the desired result, try a more concentrated variety.

What’s the Ideal CBD Dosage?

Your ideal dosage will depend on a number of factors, including your size, weight, tolerance, and reason for using CBD. For most people, 20 mg per day is a good starter dose. Many people prefer 40 mg to 50 mg or more.

It’s best to start small (around 20 to 25 mg) and gradually increase your dosage as you learn your tolerance. Remember that there are about 30 standard-sized servings per bottle. So if you consume one full serving of our 2,000 mg bottle, you get about 67 mg. And a half serving would be about 33.3 mg.

CBD is generally well-tolerated even in high concentrations, but certain side effects are possible at high doses. Read more on how to find your recommended CBD dosage.

How Long Do CBD Oils Take to Work?

Your results may vary, but most people start to notice the effects within 15 to 20 minutes. All CBD products have what’s known as an “onset of action,” which refers to the amount of time it takes for the cannabinoids to reach the bloodstream and go to work within the body’s endocannabinoid system.

Some CBD products (like CBD gummies and other edibles) take a bit longer to work because they have to go through a more complex process to reach the bloodstream. But sublingual tinctures work quickly because they’re absorbed into the body beneath the tongue and are able to engage with the endocannabinoid system much more quickly.

What if CBD Doesn’t Work for Me?

If you buy our full spectrum CBD oil for the first time, understand that it might take a few days before you notice the full effect. As you start consuming CBD, it can take one to three weeks of regular dosing before your body adjusts. It also takes time for the CBD to build up inside your system.

So give it a couple of weeks. Then, if you still feel nothing, increase the dosage gradually. Also, make sure you’re buying a premium CBD product, like our full spectrum CBD oil for sale.

How Much Should I Increase My CBD Dosage?

If you’re not achieving the desired effect, you want to increase the dosage in small increments, generally no more than 10 to 20 mg per day. Note how the CBD oil reacts inside your body. Stop increasing the dosage when you achieve the desired effect. Decrease the dosage if you notice any undesirable side effects.

Many CBD studies have involved doses as high as 1,500 mg or higher, so CBD is generally safe at high doses. However, lower doses tend to be more effective.

What Are the Side Effects of CBD?

All herbal preparations and botanicals come with the possibility of side effects. CBD is no exception, especially when it’s consumed in high doses. Possible side effects of CBD consumption include diarrhea, drowsiness, dry mouth, reduced appetite, and fatigue.

If you notice these types of side effects, you can generally reduce or eliminate them by decreasing your dosage. You should also check to make sure you’re consuming a high-quality, all-natural CBD product. Make sure it’s third-party lab tested, and check the certificate of analysis to confirm.

Does CBD Interact With Any Medications?

CBD may interact with certain prescription and over-the-counter medications. Speak to your doctor before using CBD if you regularly take warfarin, levothyroxine, amiodarone, or any major seizure drugs or blood thinners. Also, make sure to consult with your doctor before weaning yourself off any of these drugs.

Though CBD is extremely safe, it may increase the effects or side effects of certain common medications. Likewise, certain drugs may elevate the side effects of taking CBD oil. Keep this in mind when browsing our full spectrum CBD oil for sale.

What Is Full Spectrum CBD?

The term “full spectrum CBD” refers to any CBD product that includes all the natural cannabinoids in the hemp plant. So, in addition to cannabidiol, a full spectrum product will contain other useful cannabinoids like CBG, CBN, THCV, and trace amounts of THC (but not enough THC to elicit a psychoactive effect).

All our full spectrum CBD oil for sale is naturally full spectrum, meaning we extract the natural cannabinoid profile from the hemp plant using premium extraction methods. We don’t manipulate the cannabinoid profile in any way. You’re getting a product that’s as close to the original plant as possible.

What’s the Difference Between Full Spectrum CBD and Broad Spectrum CBD?

A broad spectrum CBD product contains the same complete cannabinoid profile as full spectrum CBD—but with one key difference. With broad spectrum CBD, the THC is removed from the product. You still get the CBD and all the minor cannabinoids, but the THC concentration is 0.0% (as opposed to the maximum 0.3% that you’d get with full spectrum products).

Some users prefer to have no THC at all, and some states (namely Kansas and Idaho) restrict CBD products to 0.0% THC. However, it’s worth noting that 0.3% THC is too low of a concentration to be psychoactive but still high enough to offer some therapeutic benefits. That’s why we offer premium full spectrum CBD oil for sale.

What’s the Difference Between Full Spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate?

If a CBD oil is marketed as “isolate,” you’re getting just CBD inside a carrier liquid—with no other cannabinoids present. The cannabidiol is extracted and processed entirely on its own.

Isolate products offer some benefits, but they also come with a number of downsides. For instance, isolate products typically undergo a tremendous amount of complex extraction and post-processing, which can affect their price and quality. And because you’re only consuming one cannabinoid, you don’t get the entourage effect—the combined benefit of multiple cannabinoids working together.

What Is the Entourage Effect?

The entourage effect is defined as the cumulative effect of different cannabinoids working in concert with one another. So while CBD alone might promote effects like better sleep, chronic pain support, and a calmer disposition, these effects are enhanced when the CBD is backed by other cannabinoids offering the same types of benefits.

That’s why we exclusively carry full spectrum CBD oil for sale.

What Does a CBD Lab Test Look For?

All CBD products should be lab tested by an accredited third-party testing facility. The results of each lab test are presented on a certificate of analysis (COA). The lab should test for a number of factors, including the total CBD concentration, concentrations of other cannabinoids, and concentrations of individual terpenes.

In addition, the lab technicians should confirm that there are no contaminants, including fungi, bacteria, or heavy metals. All the lab’s findings are presented on the COA. When you buy full spectrum CBD oil from any provider, make sure that the lab results are available.

Can I Legally Buy Full Spectrum CBD Oil in All 50 States?

CBD products are at least conditionally legal in all 50 states. However, the specific conditions can vary by state. In most states, you can purchase CBD products legally so long as they are hemp-derived and contain no more than 0.3% THC (like all our full spectrum CBD oil for sale).

A couple of states (Idaho and Kansas) require that CBD products contain 0% THC, but these are rare exceptions. Cannabis-derived CBD products are only legal with a medical marijuana certification or in states where recreational cannabis is permitted.
